BSA aims to provide the most superior Emergency Department service in the Texas panhandle region. Somerset, NJ – July 13, 2009 – Wellsoft Corporation is pleased to announce that Baptist St. Anthony’s Health System (BSA) in Amarillo, Texas has selected its Emergency Department Information System (EDIS). Serving over 40,000 patients each year in its Emergency Department (ED), BSA provides healthcare to residents of the Texas panhandle and surrounding communities.One of BSA’s goals is to provide the most superior Emergency Department service in the Texas panhandle region. This goal included a new Emergency Department with state-of-the-art technology and emergency transport that will stretch across the tri-state area. The selection of the Wellsoft EDIS solution, with its core functions of patient tracking, order tracking and real-time reporting, will help BSA realize this goal.
As part of this project, BSA will be placing computer workstations in or near each patient room for the purpose of monitoring and tracking patient information flow, thus expediting the care provided to these patients and decreasing wait times.”
Wellsoft’s EDIS will be customized and integrated into the existing hospital information technology at BSA. Wellsoft will review current patient flow with BSA and determine how the system can best support BSA’s desired practices. In addition to Patient Tracking, Registration Tracking, and Risk Management, Wellsoft will implement Order Tracking and an Integrated Web Link among other features.
