The implementation will lead to more complete documentation, and more efficient processes giving clinicians more time at patient bedsides.
Somerset, NJ – April, 2008 – Wellsoft Corporation today announced that St. Joseph’s Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has selected its Emergency Department Information System (EDIS) to help realize their strategic goals of providing quality healthcare to the over 25,000 Emergency Department patients they treat annually. The EDIS will be of particular benefit as their new state of the art Emergency Department services the community as a Level II Trauma Center.
The implementation of Wellsoft will lead to more complete documentation, and more efficient processes giving clinicians more time at patient bedsides. ED management will use data gathered in Wellsoft’s system to comprehensively create reports to gain a better understanding of ED operations, thus decreasing turnaround times and increasing patient satisfaction.
"Automating the ER process allows us to provide service to patients faster and better. Our goal is to provide quality care for our patients, and we believe Wellsoft is an important tool to help us achieve this goal," said Catherine Kutzler, CEO of St. Joseph’s Hospital. "St Joseph’s Hospital selected Wellsoft because of its successful track record. We are very excited to be working with Wellsoft. We have been very impressed with their willingness to work with us to meet our unique needs."
"We are excited to add St Joseph’s Hospital to the growing family of Wellsoft clients. We look forward to being part of their vision to provide the very best healthcare to the people in their community," said Dr. John Santmann, President of Wellsoft Corporation.
