Bar Code Generation – Printed Forms Wellsoft can generate and print any bar code that is installed as a system font. These can be used to label printed forms such as the incorporation of 3 of 9 bar codes to identify the form number as well as the patient via patient account number. Bar Code Generation – Patient Wrist Band This print format is designed for a 1" x 11" patient wrist band, containing patient name, bar coded account number, DOB, arrival date, and a list of allergies (up to 3 lines of approximately 180 characters each). Wellsoft supports this application on Printer Model - Zebra LP 2824-Z. Other printer options may be supported. Bar Code Support – Generated Medication Administration Information Wellsoft EDIS now supports the use of bar code generated medication administration information. This feature can improve patient safety by decreasing medication related errors and increases overall efficiency by allowing the nurse in the ED to verify medication orders for a patient in real-time at the point of care. This ensures that the right medication is given to the right patient via the right route, with the right dose and at the right time. Information captured is then automatically appended to each respective order in the patient’s order table. This bar coding technology may also be used in other areas such as Specimen Verification and Document Scanning. CCOW Enabled Simplifying the use of multiple systems, Wellsoft EDIS users can access multiple CCOW compliant applications with a single log-on (Wellsoft and the HIS, for instance). CCOW-compliant applications work together and provide the user streamlined access to patient information from various sources. In addition to the single log-on, the user will automatically be on the same patient and same patient visit or study when switching between applications. Dynamic Web Links Provides the capability to link to the facility's other systems with a click of the mouse. Directly from the Wellsoft Track your clinicians can use the Wellsoft Links button to display patient clinical information and images, stored in your other systems, such as PACS, Tracemaster, ChartMaxx, or any other web based application without having to log into other applications and search for the patient record. Precautions/Alerts Flag patients automatically that present with a precaution or alert as recommended by the CDC for Isolation Types, using Wellsoft EDIS. The patient tracking display alerts all team members to specific precautions and isolation types. This menu is modified to meet specific facility needs. Wellsoft Links Immediate access to web based resources is provided from within the Wellsoft EDIS application without the need to open a separate browser. « return to Product Features |
